There is a slide currently on Ebay showing what I believe to the the West
end of Byrd yard in Northfork in Oct. 58.

Centered in the shot is a black water tank.  I would assume that this tank
was for the town water supply and not associated with the railroad.
Can anyone verify this/add any additional information?
