Jeff:
The siding at Perintown is still visible if on the private road behind the
station. The coal bins are still barely visible.
Best in the fall.

Subject: 1948 CTC Peavine article

I read that article and it is so awesome. 3 things that I really like about
it, #1 is it shows the siding at Perintown, Ohio MP 18-19.
#2 is the switch at the end of bridge #2024B, which was for moving trains
from the old line that ran through Mineral Springs station, Beaver Pond and
across what is now the quarry at Plum run on into Peebles, Ohio. #3 it shows
a 3rd track at Mount Zion siding. I would love to see the entire series of
photos they took for this article. It answered a few question I had,
especially on where the east end switch was from the old line to the new
line. The archives has a TUN of drawings for the Cincinnati district to
which I have been scarfing up all I can. Every time I think I got it all on
a section, I find another way to search and the list just keeps growing.
We are very privileged to have such a collection that we can have access to.
I try to earn all I can on the Peavine, and still follow it closely even
though a short line is running it now. There is no denying it heritage.
Many thanks to all past and present who made such a treasure for us to
enjoy.
