C630 Mystery Boxes

Yes, they look like vents to me. Has anyone ever modeled these vents in HO?  Does a detail part company make them?  I am building a model of C630 #1135 and would appreciate any ideas on making/getting those vents.

I believe they are vents.  At least that's what the HO scale detail part that looks like them is called.
