The best source I have seen on dome cars includes

http://www.trainweb.org/web_lurker/WAB/

Which lists 200-203,1601-1602 and last known status of each.

Also of interest is the Virginia Rail Endowment dome "Roanoke" which was painted burgundy with a gray roof and participated in some excursions.
It is currently a KCS business train car!

Union Terminal Imports has been doing the cars for the Blue Bird and the Banner Blue.
The smooth side doom only three were produce. The Blue Bird doom was also done in the short and long letter board.
The Banner Blue cars can still be reserved.

Jim and Bill,

Thank You for the replies and answer to my question. While I have tried to follow the history of these cars from the Southern side coming from the CofG. I was not well versed on their full history.

Since I model merger time and mid 1980’s to present I did mine in Pullman green for Southern. I used the Walthers City car they listed as an ACF car. I researched and found somewhere on the “net” that all UP passenger cars for City service were built to UP specs regardless of builder.

According to the Society Archives' Roster, the N&W inherited six Dome cars from the Wabash. As-constructed, the four Budd-built cars had fluted sides and the two Pullman-built cars had smooth sides:

Wabash #1601, Dome-Parlor-Observation car, built with fluted sides by Budd in 1950. (I have never seen a photograph of this car re-lettered to N&W)

Wabash #1602, Dome Coach, built with smooth sides by Pullman in 1952. Re-lettered and numbered N&W #1602.

Wabash #200, Dome Coach, built with fluted sides by Budd in 1950. Re-lettered and numbered N&W #1610.

Wabash #201, Dome Coach, built with fluted sides by Budd in 1950. Re-lettered and numbered N&W #1611.

Wabash #202, Dome Coach, built with fluted sides by Budd in 1950. Re-lettered and numbered N&W #1612.

Wabash #203, Dome Coach, built with smooth sides by Pullman in 1958. Re-lettered and numbered N&W #1613. (This car was originally lettered and numbered for Wabash, but was painted in Union Pacific's "Armour Yellow" colors to operate in pool service as part of the "City of St. Louis." It was later re-lettered and re-numbered for N&W, but again painted in Union Pacific's "Armour Yellow" colors. Later still, it was painted "Pevler Blue.")
