Pullman Service to New York via N&W

On Aug. 19, 1946, No. 21 derailed at Windsor, VA (irregular alignment
of track) and was struck by Extra 1207 East, which failed to comply with
flagging signals.  The Motive Power Dept. produced a drawing of the
accident site (SK 480-M) on August 21 which shows No. 21's consist:

Eng 123
N&W 1200  - - - - - - - Baggage & Mail
N&W 1500  - - - - - - - Passenger & Baggage
N&W 1733  - - - - - - - Coach
N&W 1733 - - - - - - - -Coach
PORTSLADE - - - - -  Pullman

All equipment on the passenger train derailed.
