Old line peavine

Looking through the archives, there are several pieces related to the Beaver Pond area. One states that the old line was retired in 1959.
Can anyone confirm this date?
I am working on a story of a father and son who lived in this area.
I would like to include as much railroad operations through this area to perhaps get it published in the ARROW.
