Harry,  I think you'd be referring to Stella Anderson, while I lived in Ashe County for 20 years until 2013 I never knew Ms. Stella, I heard a lot of stories about her and her unique driving style.

I'd certainly think a blue cab rolled over the branch, since its last run was 1977.

The crew assigned to "The Creeper" worked five days a week -- Mon.-Tues.,
Thurs. and Friday in local service from Bristol as far east as Wythevile
They worked "The Creeper" only on Wednesdays.. Certainly a five-day
job was assigned a cab.
