South of Pine Hall, the Winston District shifts from one side of the
Dan River to the other side on a 7 degree 30 min. left hand curve
with a thru truss bridge at the north end of the curve.  Considering
the length of a Class A, even though articulated, the smoke box
overhang would collide with the bridge side.           Harry Bundy
