Bluefield

In the past few years when driving by the Bluefield yard I've noticed there's almost never anything in the yard other than coal gons/hoppers.  All the non-coal traffic I've seen (granted a very small percentage) seems to run through without stopping.  Can anyone explain to me how the Bluefield yard is being used these days?
