Foreign Interlockings

Talked to Landon Gregory today and he'd caught the Lovitt Avenue
assignment several times working the extra board.  The primary
job of the Lovitt Avenue operator was to control the crossing  gates.  The
interlocking for the NS/N&W crossing was controlled by the operator
at Bridge 5.  One note -- draw bridges were controlled by operators
on the N&W, but on the Virginian, the spans were controlled by
members of the Signal Department.     Harry Bundy
