Found in Rural Retreat Depot

Just a guess. It may have hung on a wall and held flags (on the circular part) and torpedoes and fusses (in the covered, lower part).

Anyone know what this was used for? It was found in the Rural Retreat Depot.  It is made of soft metal, looks like it attaches to a wall, and provides a tray with cover. It is 22” long and about 5” deep. Frank Akershttp://www.theruralretreatdepot.com/
