NW PR Photo at White WV

Harry,

Thanks for the exact location of that NW PR photo along the Tug Fork. I'd
often wondered where it was taken. It's a little hard to tell but it appears
the foundations are located only on the riverside when the photo was taken.
Do you have any idea of the photo's date?

"Construction of foundations for overhead structures in connection with the
further  extension of the electrified district from Iaeger to Williamson, W,
Va. is under way."

Electrification from Iaeger to Williamson never happened, but the
foundations were completed.  Those familiar with N&W's p.r. photos may
recall one showing a west- bound coal train with the caboose  in a curve
along the Tug River at White, WV (near McCarr Branch).  It's almost
inconspicuous, but one of the foundations appears
on the right-of-way.                            Harry Bundy
