Thanks for sharing, Jim.  I hadn't realized that Adams and Southern Express Company interlined shipments so that the offices along the Norfolk & Western, Southern, and other southeastern railways were considered to be direct points for Adams.  The Virginian and Chesapeake & Ohio Railway depots were all Adams Express offices.
