Experience moving a caboose?

The safest manner to relocate the caboose would be to contact a crane service, there is one in Abington, VA BEVINS Crane Service and
let them overview what you want to accomplish. I've known some crane operations that can help provide a track section if needed.
I would be very careful about preforming such a task based on what it might cost.
talk to a crane service before getting into this, then if it is too costly you can go another way.

You're not moving the caboose very far. I've seen the winched up onto a lowboy before. Maybe a little more time consuming but far cheaper than a crane.
