Journal box coolant and torpedoes

According to my understanding, torpedoes are explosives and explosives
deteriorate with age.  You probably do not want any actual torpedoes as
they might explode without provocation.  Better safe that sorry.  Just
recently, a WWII era bomb was discovered and was detonated by bomb disposal
experts.
