What "shoo-fly" is that? "I don't see no stinking shoo-fly".
Are you speaking of the _/apparent/_ "ess" curve caused by the 
approaching train entering the siding? If so, keep in mind that the zoom 
lens has compressed the field of view to where it is much much more 
compact than it actually is if you were standing looking at that 
location with your bare eyes.
