I cannot get to my file box with all the lists, with the mess in my office and file room.
But they are called "List of Officers, Agents and Stations", they were issued pretty much yearly, but occasionally not. By the 1940s it was every other year. By the time of the VGN merger in 1959, and the closure of agencies, they tended to be far less detailed, but similar lists were published through the years, and I know I have a Norfolk Southern one somewhere.
The file box I could find started with:
List No. 57, Issued 5-1-31, superseded list 56, issued 5-1-30
C.P. Atkins, Rural Retreat
List No. 61, Issued 5-1-39, superseding list 60, issued 4-1-37
A. H. Price, Rural Retreat
List No. 63, Issued 8-1-42, superseding list 62, issued 4-1-41
A.H. Price, Rural Retreat
Hopefully can find the other file box, so far not a clue....
Best

There are in the society some of the many frequently issued lists the RR produced in a small pocket booklet form. Those list the agent of record for that specific date for open stations. They stopped being issued in the mid-1950's. I have some of the issues in the 1930's and 1940's and am sure the N&WHS has many I do not. Some of the readers of this list no doubt have some as well and may be willing to assist you, if they can locate which pile or box those treasures are located.
