Norris,
Yes, for the reasons you state plus today's trip was an added-on one so
awareness might not have been as hoped for even though the Bristol Herald
Courier gave it front page coverage yesterday with a very large photo of
4501 arriving on Wed. Tomorrow's route up to Bulls Gap appeals more to the
Southern Ry fans. Sunday back to Radford.

Attached is another, tighter shot of the departure this morning.

Greetings Mike,
I would suspect that there's several reasons for the empty seats. One, A
Friday excursion is not going to be as full as a weekend one due to
riders/parents working their normal jobs. Two, Offering three trips in the
same location. Three, Passengers have to be selective on which trips to
sign up for due to overall expenses. As the old saying goes, "Money don't
grow on trees folks!".
Stay the course, the NS 2015 Steam Excursion Program will be successful!
Enjoy every minute of it,

Sad to note that there were numerous empty seats in this morning's
excursion to Radford. My excuse? Wife not up to it at her age.
