Thanks Ed, I understand, but I was asking if 2156 whistle could be plumbed to the J so we could hear it again. They have had whistle blowing days in Roanoke, could we use the 611 boiler for that and get the humid air needed to reminisce? And could we invite model railroad sound people to record some for our models?

2156 has a hooter which would not be appropriate for a J.

Is there any chance that various whistles can be interchanged onto 611's boiler and the model railroad sound people like Soundtraxx, QSI, could be invited to record it.
I saw that 2156 still had its whistle....reckon it would come off for a trial run?
