Strange N&W Item

They are not so strange. That is a silver top for a water carafe. They date as far back as the teens or a tiny bit earlier, but were in use on into the 1940s.
They are actually the easy part to find, the glass carafe that is correct, is a lot tougher to find.
This image is chopped out of a 1934 company photo. Sightly distorted from the lens, but the carafe is on the table right in front.
