Skip,
I also have a headlight that appears to be identical to yours. The identification plate on mine has been painted over and I have not cleaned it, so it is unreadable. Mine is a Pyle-National with PN numbers cast into it in at least four places: 14000KA on the right lower corner of the base (it's upside down), 14001KA on the outside front rim, 14002KA inside the small door hatch to reach the rear of the bulb socket, and 14014-EGF Nonglare on the outer edge of the reflector. I don't have the bulb with me now, but as I remember it is a 250 watt, 32 volt DC bulb marked locomotive headlight. I acquired my light in Roanoke in the late 1950s or early 1960s. Do not know what engine it came from. With the base it has (same as yours), some have suggested it might have been a rear light on a tender, maybe an S1 or an S1a.
