Or was the water storage tank on top of the structure Jeff photographed?
Perhaps the remaining concrete structure supported the tank. Certainly could not contain much water with the "window" openings. TY4 posting the photos.

This past Saturday I traveled to Tidewater to document some N&W and VGN infrastructure. At the top of my list was the N&W concrete water tank at Yadkin. Attached are seven photographs of the exterior and interior.
When were these built and what was their capacity? I've seen photos of similar tanks at Lambert's Point, Wilson and Pulaski. Where else were they located?
