Rail traffic past Hotel Roanoke, Roanoke, VA

Being a "yankee" member, can any one help me- I watch the Hotel Roanoke railcam a lot-usually several times a day. Lately it seems there is almost no traffic past this junction.  Can anyone help with an explanation?
