High Bridge - Bridge ID Number?

Harry -
I never had any experience with the H11c’s except to notice them. The main problem as I remember was that the white lead stenciling “paint” was pretty quick to bleed; I don’t think that experiment lasted very long.
Back when the N&W was greasing bridges, I don’t think there even was an EPA.

Might that Mobil thingy hark back to the days when N&W didn’t paint bridges – they greased them?
EdK:
Could be. Today's Mobil (really Exxon Mobil) has an
industrial grease division. Question is, would it
satisfy the E.P.A. ?
Incidentally, speaking of N&W's "no paint" policy, can
you suggest a decal set for an H11c -- you know, the
hoppers that were left unpainted ? Ever have to record
the shop date, or light weigh, or car initial and number
off one ? Harry Bundy
