Jonah:

There are several of our members that have resided
in Crewe. I'm not sure what you're looking for regarding
Crewe.  Not so any more, but in the mid-50s, Crewe was
Norfolk Division headquarters.  The Superintendent
lived in a company-owned residence (as did Super-
intendents on other divisions).  Crews from Roanoke
laid over at the YMCA.  Not anymore-- they're put up at
a motel.  The supermarket in Crewe closed several years
ago and residents have to travel to Victoria's Food Lion
or to Richmond to get groceries.  While there's no
grocery store in Crewe, there is an alphabet store
