Roanoke Junction

Today was a big day for the Roanoke Junction project.

Norfolk Southern switched off the old color position lights (CPLs) 
and turned on the new signals. CPLs were coming down with amazing speed.

Two main line tracks were cut and "thrown" into new alignments to 
eliminate those S-curves that have been around since the steam days.

For those watching on the railcams, here's what you couldn't see.
