Blue SD35

Ed,

I used Ektachrome 64 in 1974 when that slide was made which
did tend towards blue. I have others taken at Petersburg VA which look
pretty blue to me, also on Ektachrome 64.

Mason.... i respectfully disagree that this is blue but rather a overall
poor quality tint of the picture misleading you as to the actual color of
the unit. I have shots that clearly show 1536 still being black (with 1/2
moon heralds as delivered) in August of 73 and again in April of 74 and NW
black in Sept 81. No units were painted blue beyond 1971 must less 1974.
I'll scan them and send them to the moderator in a separate note.

Respectfully,

Ed Painter

Carl,

Many of them made it into Blue Paint. I am attaching a photo
of the 1536 for the moderator.

Were any SD35's painted blue? I've never seen a picture of one. Since they
were all delivered in mid-late 65 just before blue was adopted, and blue was
over by 1970, it is at least conceivable that none of them required
repainting during the blue period. Has anybody got a picture of a blue
SD35?
