RE 611 Last Runs

The "Twenty Minutes to Roanoke" piece is from the 1959 last run. The author
was about 18 at the time. I don't have the article in front of me. But one
line that stood out was something along the lines of trying to learn all
that he had missed in the age of steam in those last fleeting moments of
the trip.
I'm 37 now and read that article when I was 6 and it has always stuck with
me.
