Citadel, SC to VMI/Lexington, Va. Special Movement

I would like to add what I know about the Citadel-VMI football history.I
was Co-Captain of the 1958  undefeated VMI team that played The Citadel our
9th game in Lynchburg on Sat. nite and defeated them 33-7.We won our last
game on Thanksgiving day defeating VPI 14-6 in Roanoke to finish the
season  9-0-1.The Tie was 21-21 with Holy Cross in Worchester Mass our 2nd
game of the year.I am interested to know if anyone knows how the team
traveled from Charleston to Lynchburg.Was it by rail like the other games
mentioned?I am the son of James Wal;ter Woolwine who worked 55 years for
The N&W retiring at the mandatory age of 70 in 1958.There is a display of
his outstanding career in the N&W section of The Transportation Museum in
