I have never seen a direct document on depots or any other renovations. I
have seen references to contracts for new structures or renovations as I
have gone through the betterment and construction accounts of 1901 through
about 1916. There are also references in the Presidential, Vice Presidential
and GM authorities, but there are no indexes to these documents and the
archives does not have a complete set.

Subject: Evolution of the Rural Retreat Depot
Fortunate to receive an image of an old post card, made perhaps around 1911,
showing a two-story depot with a water tower(?). The tower had been
shortened to a single story by 1949. Is there a documented history of depot
renovations in the N&W archives?
Thanks much
