I think I herd there would be six new crossovers installed and signaled in both direction
to accommodate the Amtrak Service

  extended Traffic Control east of Disputanta ?  Used to be a rule of thumb
  Crewe dispatchers used -- if a coal train didn't have a 90 minute lead on
  eastbound passenger trains at Disputanta, the drag  was held there until the
  passenger train passed.

  En route to the coast two weeks ago, a M/W gang told be they'd recently
  installed a double crossover at MP 47 (west of Ivor).  Must be in anticipation
  of new Amtrak service to Norfolk.           Thanks - Harry Bundy
