I don't know of a single source that shows their location, but several of the large picture sites will usually have the date the photograph was taken.

Quite a few of the 1949 Arrow cars are still around and in service.

P1 501 - NS 28, business fleet & specials (OLS, 21st Century steam)
P2 512 - Roanoke Chapter, NRHS
P3 531 - Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum
P3 533 - NS 29, business fleet & specials (OLS, 21st Century steam)
P3 536 - Great Smoky Mountain Railroad
P3 537 - Roanoke Chapter, NRHS
P3 538 - Roanoke Chapter, NRHS, used as a parts source
P3 539 - Watauga Valley Chapter, NRHS, used on some 21st Century Steam trips with SOU 630
P3 540 - Western Maryland Scenic Railway
D1 491 - NS 12 INDIANA, business fleet, rebuilt by N&W into dormitory car 450, most of the windows removed
D1 493 - NS 18 GENERAL WILLIAM MAHONE, business fleet
D1 494 - NS 19 KENTUCKY, business fleet

Both of the P4 observation cars were sold to Saudi Arabia. There are pictures of them at least into the 1980s. There were rumors they were finally scrapped, but I don't know if that was ever confirmed.

Jim;

How many of the cars are still in existance? And is there a site that shows where they are?

Regards,
Russ Goodwin

Most (if not all) of the 15 PM coaches received the logo in June 1946, as did the DE diners 1023 & 1024. After delivery of the 1949 train, the logo was removed from all these cars. The 1949 train, coaches 501 &502, 511 & 512, 531-540, observations 581 & 581 and diners 491 & 492 all were built with the logo. 581 & 582 apparantly kept it until their retirement in 1958 and subsequent sale to Saudi Arabia. In time, it was eventually removed from all the other cars.

Is there a record of how many of N&W's passenger cars were blazoned with the Powhatan Arrow logo?
