WILL MAKE PRESENT TO RETIRING OFFICIAL
------
As Evidence of Their Esteem Railroad Men Will Present Automobile to General Superintendent
The railroad men on the western division of the Norfolk and Western are planning a gift for George P. Johnson, which will take the form of an automobile and will be presented to him soon. The date for the presentation has not been settled upon as yet, but will be in time to permit of Mr. Johnson getting plenty of use out of the machine while in Detroit and other cities. Mr. Johnson is one man who fought his way into the hearts of the railroad men. They get closer to the general superintendent in times of trouble than any other and when ever trouble did arise on the western division the men found Mr. Johnson standing with them, whenever their cause was just. There is general regret that he is leaving and the remembrance proposed will mean that the western division men hope Mr. Johnson gets some fun out of life in his new position and at the same time remembers his old friends.
