Sorry that I couldn't make that - work followed by skippering a narrowboat (actually our new widebeam Pirate Prince) trip for a disabled group prevented going out of town.
Do post up any future talks etc. I'm hoping to be Stateside for the first time in a few years this fall - early September - and will be heading down the valley to Wytheville VA., and no doubt stopping in Roanoke and other places.
It's a while back since I posted on the USATC S160 on the Churnet Valley Railway. I think it is/has been under awaiting a major overhaul/service - there's a fairly recent photo at http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?road_number=5197

I shall be Walking with the Pirates again this year, on Saturday May 26th, along the 12 miles from lovely Tottenham Hale to gorgeous Camden Town, via the bucolic delights of the Lower Lea Valley.
