Thanks, Harry. Was there ever a tower in Norfolk east of Bridge 5? Was the trackage at the Union Terminal controlled from Bridge 5? Where was NF train order office located? Was NS the next tower going west?

In emp tts what does the letter "O" represent? I know what W, C, T, Y, X stand for.

Glenn

On page 6 of McClure's N&W Facilities in Color, Volume 1 what is the name of the Norfolk street crossing in the foreground? What is the name of the interlocking? Is there a tower hidden here, or is it controlled from some where else? Thank you!

Colley Avenue, which now passes beneath the Lamberts Point Branch. Westbound, this is where Traffic
Control begins and it's controlled the Bridge 5 operator. This was a critical spot for trains doubling
out of the empty side because they had to temporarily block Colley Avenue for
tail room. Harry Bundy
