Firm Date for Last N&W Telegraph: 3-16-1960

I suppose the last date for the N&W telegraph depends on the definition  of 
N&W.
Following the merger  of VGN with N&W in 1959,  the telegraph  circuit 
Victoria
to Norfolk (Coleman Place, actually) remained in service until at least  
1962. For
the "lightnin-slingers" on Norfolk Terminal, it was the preferred method of 
 communica-
