OVER THREE HUNDRED MACHINIST QUIT WORK
------
[This rather lengthy article about what the newspaper termed the Virginian Railway's first strike stated that the strike was mainly about a seniority issue. The article further stated that over a hundred men had been laid off earlier to keep expenses within appropriations, and the contention is that the men were not called back according to seniority. Also some of the more radical men have asked for the resignation of Master Mechanic Lewis.

There will be a couple of follow-up articles on this strike to be posted here later.]
