Hi Mason, et. al :
 
I was aware of NS wanting to use the land that N&W owned west of Vardo  : 
the neighbors complained (at the zoning hearing) that the completed project  
would make too much noise & too many lights on all night & too much  traffic 
into & out of the facility. Then the State Highway folks made very  strict 
demands about NS rebuilding the roads getting to I-70.
 
The local folks complained about the project & now they are complaining  
about Greencastle getting 125 new jobs !!
