N&W in 1911--Wreck

[It's amazing that the N&W was able to get the passengers into Bluefield only two hours late after this major wreck.]

Not sure the practice was in place in 1911, but Crewe kept a protection engine for passenger
trains steamed up and waiting -- just in case.  That may have reduced the delay. Harry Bundy
