N&W Obervations 581 and 582 in Saudi Arabia.

According to my notes, they were sold in April 1959, I'd assume shipment via rail to Norfolk and loading onto a ocean going freighter there. I do not have any information as to exactly who the two cars were sold to.

In pursuing this almost 20 years back, our understanding was that one car had been scrapped in the late 1980s, the other had been placed in a Saudi rail museum. I do not have any other details.
