If going to the area don't forget the station in Speedwell. I recall the Bridge from the trip dad and I took also . All this discussion and Bruce's research are very interesting. By the early 1900's I had family from Fries to Ivanhoe to Speedwell to Allisonia to Draper and Pulaski. If I lived nearer I'd love to do some explorations. With winter near it will soon be best time to search and explore for abandoned railroad right-of-ways and such.

Slightly off the subject but related, is the gorgeous rr bridge east of Speedwell now a highway bridge (Gleaves Rd.). (I feel a field trip coming on!)
