Class A Circulation Piping

It is air aftercooler piping, unique to engine 1226; one Y-6 (2152 I believe) also had this arrangement. It goes from the pumps to the main reservoir.

I don't have drawings, and I'm not sure the Archives has any. If it was up to me, I'd model another A . . .

Subject: Class A Circulation Piping

I am looking for information on the unique circulation piping on #1226. The piping appears on the left (fireman) side, on the rear engine, just above the walkway, and appears to have two sections extending across both the firebox and flues area. What does it do and where does it come from and go back to. I also need drawings to replicate to 1:48 scale if available or a source for.
See picture number(s) for visual. NW00837 . May be unique to this loco, #1226, and may be experimental to the period, 1956-7. Not seen on any other 'A' in the N&WRYHS archive.
THNX,
Vern Howard
