Bell Location

Not sure, but I think it wa about 1959 or 1960. It was a retrofit for the 
Redbirds, which were delivered in late 1958.   Jim Nichols

When did N&W start locating the bell on the high hood?  Pictures of the early 
diesels do not show a bell the bell.
