Long Trains East

    Long doesn't always mean heavy. If the trains are too heavy to go over the blue Ridge side, they will go down the Virginian side.
    The only pushers used east of Roanoke are those near South Boston to push coal trains to the power plants at Hyco and Mayo. Of course all coal going south gets a pusher.
