Amtrak Excursion to Roanoke

The North Carolina Transportation Museum and the Watauga Valley 
Chapter NRHS will be sponsoring an Amtrak Excursion from Spencer, NC 
to Roanoke, VA on Saturday, October 30. Travelers will see amazing 
views of the North Carolina Piedmont and Southwest Virginia in their 
autumn colors. After crossing the Dan and Roanoke Rivers, travelers 
can visit the Class J 611 and Class A 1218 at the Virginia Museum of 
Transportation and the O Winston Link Museum during the layover in 
Roanoke before returning to Spencer.
