Mail Route Abolished
    The star route between Bluefield and Rocky Gap will be discontinued on Jan. 14th, and the mail will be carried on the New River, Holston & Western Railway*, via Narrows.  This leaves the people at Bethel, who were served by the mail messenger, without service closer than Bluefield.

*Later became the N&W's Narrows Branch.
