HEAD-ON COLLISION
------
Two Engines Badly Smashed But No One Seriously Hurt
Three men were injured Sunday morning at Glen Tlum [Could this be a misprint for Glen Alum?] when No. 86 and an extra freight met in a head-on collision, caused by some mistake which has not yet been officially investigated with satisfactory results. None of the men was seriously hurt, although it was necessary to take Assistant Road Foreman of Engines C. A. Willard to Williamson for treatment, he having received an injury to his knee that necessitated the assistance of a surgeon. Engineer Flummer had his left shoulder slightly hurt but will not be incapacitated as a result of this injuries. Fireman D. W. Call, who was learning the road, was also slightly injured.
Two engines were badly smashed while a third engine was also broken up considerably. Four cars of meat were strewn over the track and several other cars were damaged.
