ASSISTANT TICKET AGENT
------
Office to be Open Continuously From Early Morning Till Late at Night
Two of the principal objections which the traveling public has had to the Norfolk and Western passenger service at Bluefield have been overcome during the present week by the railroad company. The ticket agent in this city, who is perhaps kept as busy as any agent on the line in volume of business, has been given an assistant and under this new arrangement the ticket office will be kept open from the time the early train leaves in the morning, about 6 o'clock, until after the last passenger train leaves the city at night.
This plan will enable passengers to make Pullman reservations at any time or to secure their tickets or information at times which are most convenient to them instead of being most convenient to the railroad company. The new arrangement will be found to be very satisfactory, especially to strangers who are used to having accommodations of this sort in larger cities.
The arrangement by which the third Pullman on train No. 3 will lay off at Kenova so that people desiring to go to Huntington, Charleston, Baltimore and Ohio, Chesapeake and Ohio or Coal and Coke points can get a full night's sleep before they have to get up is already appreciated.

[The Coal and Coke Railroad extended mainly from Charleston to Elkins, WV, and was later part of the B&O.]
