BIG STEEL CARS ARRIVE
------
Fifteen of Order of Two Thousand Received by Virginian at Deepwater
Yesterday the Virginian Railway received at Deepwater, the western terminus, fifteen coal cars of an order for two thousand placed several months ago. This is the first consignment of this order and its arrival has been hailed with pleasure all along the line. For some time the Virginian has been laboring under the disadvantage of not having sufficient rolling stock to take care of the business. Now that the two thousand cars are being delivered, it is felt that pressure will be relieved to some extent. Cars also are coming from other orders and a number of new engines have been placed in commission.
The two thousand cars will consist of fifteen hundred steel gondolas and five hundred steel hoppers. Eighty of them are on the road, bound for Deepwater, and each day will see from fifteen to twenty-five of them started on their active careers. They are delivered to the Virginian by the Chesapeake and Ohio.
