WORK BEGINS TO SHOW
------
Norfolk and Western Improvements on Scioto Division Are Well Under Way
The work being done by the Norfolk and Western in the Pole land across the Scioto river from Chillicothe begins to show what is intended. It will be a costly piece of engineering. The bridge alone to be erected over the Scioto will cost $10,000. Engineers are busily engaged in surveying about the yards, making plans for the installation of the above road's double tracking through Chillicothe. The old Sheer's building is being moved over to the southern part of the Norfolk and Western yards where it will be used as an office for the engineers of the company.

[Anyone know what is meant by "Pole land?"]
